Stitch Fix Box #3

My third box from Stitch Fix arrived on Wednesday last week. If you are new to this service, please check out my original post describing it here.  It is pretty awesome!  Kinda like Christmas morning without the pressure of opening a gift in front of anyone. :)  This time I asked for some pants (not in my normal neutral color) and some fall shirts to update my wardrobe.  I also specifically asked for no cardigans as I had been seeing some pretty hideous ones online recently.  My stylist, Julie, hit it out of the park again.  I was really pleased.  Below is the reveal:

Skies are Blue Westminster Back Cut Out Blouse-$48
I LOVED this shirt from the first time I saw it.  It was very similar to something I pinned on my Pinterest page for my stylist to look at.  I love the detail in the back.  It can easily go from work to a date night as well.
Verdict: Keep

Liverpool Anita Skinny Pant-$78
I'm always very hesitant to try on any kind of pants just because they always fit so differently. I was really excited about the color because I could tell my stylist read my note.  I was very pleased with the way these stretchy pants fit.  They are so comfortable and I wore them to work all day today and they didn't seem to stretch out too much.
Verdict: Keep

This is my favorite outfit! :)

Le Lis Angelene Lace Cross Front Knit Top-$58
I wasn't crazy about this top when I saw it.  I'm not a huge fan of lace, even though it seems to be making a comeback.  And mixed material isn't my favorite either.  But, then I tried it on and I really like it.  It is really comfortable and pushes me out of my "style box".
Verdict: Keep
Look by M Cliff Checkered Woven Infinity Scarf-$34
This scarf is a bit bulky for my liking, but it is so warm and I think it goes really well with this outfit.  I wore it to school today and got several compliments (even from my 3rd graders). :)
Verdict: Keep
Market & Spruce Corinna Striped Dolman Top- $48
I specifically asked for this top because I've seen it ALL over Stitch Fix recently.  People have been raving about the comfort of this shirt so i wanted to try it for myself.  It is incredibly comfortable.  i feel like it's a little large in the middle, but the arms fit just right so i didn't want to exchange it for a smaller size.  It will be a great every day shirt for me.
Verdict: Keep

So, yeah, this is my second 5/5 box!  With the 25% discount, the items average out to about $40 a piece.  If I add $10 to the pants and subtract $10 from the scarf, it makes it seem more within my "normal" price range for clothes.  I love that it also comes with a style card for each item and more style ideas.
If you haven't yet tried the service, I encourage you to follow my referral link here . You'll need to fill out a style profile and there is a $20 styling fee, which they'll apply to any item you purchase.  You can also get a gift card for someone.  What a fun Christmas gift!

Pumpkin Carving and Trick or Treating

We look forward to carving pumpkins every year (unfortunately last year, the days got away from us and we ran out of time)!  The kids and I went to pick out some perfect pumpkins for carving.  Em got a white pumpkin (which was more difficult to clean out), but looks pretty cool.  Landon picked out one and then I got one more.  Matt wondered why I hadn't gotten 4 pumpkins so we each could carve one. :)
Emerson, who's 50% girly and 50% outdoorsy, loved sticking her hands in the "guts" and carving.  Landon wanted me to dig out all his insides because it was too messy! :)  Love how different my kiddos are!

Halloween was on a Saturday this year, which is nice and not so busy, but of course it rained all day.  That didn't matter too much to us because we hit about 4 houses and are done for the night.  Landon went as a Bears football player and Emerson went as Queen Elsa.  It was really nice because they both had the costumes already, so we saved a lot of money there.
