Family Pictures 2015

We always love when Matt's co-worker, Heather, is available to take our pictures.  She does such a great job with the kids and amazingly even gets Landon to smile!  This year we headed over to Ox Bow Park.

Gotta love Landon's face in this one :)  He had several that he looked like he was in pain.  Photo smiling is just not natural for this guy!

Overall, I love how they turned out and I'm glad we document our family's growth over the years (even if I'm the only one who appreciates it :))!

Fun Weekends

We've had some fun filled weekends as we try to soak up all of the last warm days.
We got to baby sit little Harper Gill a few days.  She is absolutely adorable, precious, and like the best baby ever!  She is go good natured and always has a smile on her face.  Emerson was like a little mother hen with her.  She LOVED having her around.

Landon finished up his soccer season.  He LOVED soccer.  He really wanted to score a goal and he didn't get to this season, but he really enjoyed going to the games.  I'm sure he'll want to do it again next year.  He even got to play against Greyson.  That was fun to watch! :)

After his last soccer match, we drove up to spend some time on Todd and Cathy's boat on Lake Michigan.  The kids LOVED playing in the water and on the beach.  They were exhausted by the time we left!

Then over Labor Day weekend, we went down to see Nate's house in Evansville.  We definitely had a Star Wars filled weekend! :)  Emerson was in heaven in her Uncle Nate's Star Wars room.  And Nate was gracious enough to let her play with several of his collectibles.
We went to the Children's Museum in Evansville also.

We also got to visit several parks.  This one was nice because it was shaded on a 90 + degree day!

We've had a lot of fun, busy weekends and have enjoyed every minute!

New Nephew!

Also on August 13th, we welcomed our first nephew into the world.  Caleb Edward Clark was (finally!!) born.  We were so excited to meet him.  He is really precious and it always amazes me how small babies are. :)

Landon held Caleb for a short while.

Emerson was over the moon excited and kept wanting to hold him more and more!

So I apparently don't have any pictures of him with his eyes open! :)  Must just be easier to take them when he's sleeping!  We are so thrilled that little Caleb made his arrival safely into the world and can't wait to see the amazing plans God has in store for this little one!  Love you, buddy!

Beginning of School 2015

School started for the kids and I on August 13th this year.  Matt's school started a day earlier.  The past month has flown by as we've all tried to get adjusted to a schedule again.
Emerson is in Mr. Anglemyer's class this year.  She was really nervous when she found out she was getting a "boy teacher", but as soon as she got home from school on the first day, she already loved him! :)  She was also excited to have her best buddy from Kindergarten, Allie, in her class again.  She enjoys going to school each day.  She has homework this year and sometimes puts up a bit of a fuss about getting it done because she'd rather play.  But she is really enjoying being back at school again.

Landon is in Mrs. Davidson's class this year.  He had been ready to go back to school for weeks!  He loves learning and is really doing a great job with his homework.  He is more of a struggle to get up in the mornings (probably because it takes him forever to wind down at night!).  But once he's up and moving, he does fine.  He does have trouble getting his lunch eaten in the 20 minutes provided, but I'm sure that will get better too....it has to, right??

They both are having a great start to another school year and I love having them at school with me. Seeing them in the hallways and getting hugs is the best!
