September Fun

Well, it's hard to believe the month of September is almost gone already.  We've been keeping busy enjoying our last few days of sunshine and warmth before the cooler temps are here for good!  Here's what we've been up to:
South Bend Cubs game
We went with the Woodview staff to see the South Bend Cubs play baseball.  The kids enjoyed playing on all of the equipment around the stadium and eating the ballpark food.
Landon even got a baseball (thanks to Mrs. Myers' family)
Lake Michigan trip
Over Labor Day, we went with Todd and Cathy up to Lake Michigan.  We had a great, hot day on the water.

The water, was not so hot (it was pretty frigid, in fact).  So the kids mostly played on the sand.

There was live music at the restaurant we ate dinner at.  The kids got to go on stage and sing along.
 Wicked
Kristina and I got mom and Cathy tickets to see a musical for Mother's Day (yes, I realize that was months ago! :)).  We went to see Wicked at the Morris.  It was a great show.  Those actors and actresses are really talented!  We had a fun afternoon together.  They even dyed the fountain green for the show.

Apple Festival
The Apple Festival is always a big hit with the kids.  Matt and I like to go for the food and the kids enjoy the rides.  Emerson was brave enough to ride the "big kid" rides this year.  She doesn't even look (too) scared!

Chain O 'Lakes
This past weekend, we went camping with the Davis family (and their awesome new RV) and Amos, Grace, and Tyler at Chain O' Lakes.  We had beautiful weather...well it was a little cold for me in the mornings! :)  The kids had a ball together and played until they wore themselves out.  We had a great time eating and hanging out together.

The kids said it was "SOOO hot" that they wanted to go swimming.  We didn't pack any swimsuits, so they improvised and had a water fight with plastic bottles.  I think they had fun together!!

What a great, busy September it's been.  We are looking forward to October!
