September in review

It's hard to believe that today is the last day of September.  Where do the days go??  We had some wacky weather this month from 40-91 degrees, so we were wearing all kinds of things.  We went camping at Potato Creek the weekend after Labor Day (Labor Day weekend we spent taking down our above ground pool for the winter. 😢).  We had a ball.  The Davis family, Frye family, Gill family, and Jamie came along.  We had sites all near each other and the kids LOVED it.  Emmy and Landon even had a little boy from school there too.  We hardly saw them.  They rode bikes and played football, and played in the campers.  The mornings were chilly, there's those 40 degree temps, but the afternoons were sunny and nice.  It was a lot of fun, but always busy trying to camp when we're back at work.

stocking cap, shorts, hard to tell what to wear!

We had fun at the NW homecoming game.  The kids even got special shirts to wear (thanks Gma!).
Landon's been playing flag football (Razzle Dazzle)🏈🏈 for the Titans and Matt coached.  They have practice Thursday nights from 5:30-7:00 and games each Saturday.  Both boys have enjoyed it!

The week of Sept. 18, we had crazy hot weather for Indiana (near 90) and of course we had taken the pool down weeks before.  That didn't stop the kids from getting wet though.  We dug out the old, torn slip and slide and they made our slide into a water slide!

Fun September memories!

Back to School 2018

Well, actually we've been back for about 7 weeks now, but better late than never!  Both kids were excited/nervous to start 3rd grade this year.  I was pumped because they are literally right next door to me! 😃  Emerson has Mrs. Nunemaker who's "super nice" and Landon has Mrs. Davis who he loves!  Both kids are off to a great start.  They don't complain about getting up for school.  We even get them up 20 minutes earlier this year because they are eating breakfast at home instead of school.  They're doing a great job with more homework and both work hard.  We are proud of these two!

I'm starting my 16th year teaching.
Matt is starting his 17th year.
Blessings to everyone on the 2017-2018 school year!
