Cousin Time and Dawning Generation Clinic

We also got to watch Caleb and Brooklyn the same weekend.  We went to church at mom and dad's church to celebrate the ending of their vbs.
We also got to go to the Fall Fest at the Davis's church where there were carnival games, blow up slides, yummy food, and candy.  Poor Caleb only got a short nap so he wasn't too happy,  but I think everyone else had a good time.

Emmy went to the dawning generation clinic on a Saturday morning where she learned a song/dance to perform at the concert the following Tuesday.  She enjoyed being on stage.

Flag Football

Landon played flag football again this year.  Matt graciously coached his team, the Steelers.  They had so many close games but ended up losing quite a few.  He still had a good time, scored several touchdowns, and had many tackles.  This is the last year of flags and we're debating whether to let him do tackle next year.  He, of course, wants to.  But he is so small and with all of the new concussion studies, we're just not sure.
The "Panther Bowl" was on dad's 70th birthday, so he got to watch his grandson play football.  We celebrated the night before by going out to Corndance to eat with the family.  Unfortunately, the Steelers didn't win, but it was a fun game to watch.

We have a 10 year old

It is so hard to believe that this young man is double digits already.  10 years ago we were in a hospital in Virginia waiting for this little guy to be born.
Now we are running him to every sporting event he wants to participate in, piano lessons, and robotics club.  He is a sweet, smart, kind kiddo who is thoughtful and a little forgetful and disorganized.  But we wouldn't have him any other way!  We love you, buddy!

Landon by his birth tree

Landon's birthday party for his friends was on a rainy, windy, warm Saturday.  His flag football game was cancelled because of thunderstorms, but a beautiful rainbow appeared.

Landon with his buddies: Tyler, Sebastian,  Karsten, Kaiden, Micah, and Kyler
The boys had a good time, beating up each other with pool noodle lightsabers, playing in the barn, and playing football.

Cornhole and the ball bucket game

The next day, we had Landon's family birthday party.

Someone got their face smashed into the ice cream cake!

Nice helmet Emmy

Is it cold in here Brooklyn?

Berger Family Pictures 2018

We had our pictures taken by Tifani Beer at Amish Acres in September.  She always does an amazing job, but this time Landon did too!  I asked him what made him smile so well this time and he said he just wanted to get it over with so we could go to the Apple Festival afterward. 😊
