Little Miss is 3!

Emerson turned 3 last week.  She was really excited about her party and her presents this year.  She wanted a pink party with a Max and Ruby cake.  The pink party was really easy, the cake...not so much, but Matt did a spectacular job with it.
On her birthday, Em got to open her presents from us.  We got her a new outfit and sunglasses.  She also has a jewelry box coming in the mail (hopefully soon!).

3rd year for her tree too!

Kenna is sure a climber.  When Em got a new present, Kenna would climb in and take her seat.

Emmy showing off her cake.  Way to go, Daddy!

BLOW!
All of the kids (we missed Tyler who was in Florida with his grandparents).

Emmy sure has been a blessing to our family (as well as kept us on our toes).  She's always finding a new way to show off her cute or ornery side!  She loves to draw, color, and create.  She also has fun pretending with her baby dolls.  She loves to get dressed up in her fancy clothes and jewelry, but also loves to wrestle and play with worms.  These last three years have gone by in a complete whirlwind.  Emerson has grown and changed so much.  I can't wait to see what God has in store for you, Emerson Elizabeth.  You can do great things.  We love you!

Fun with Friends

Pictures of some of the fun times we've had lately:
Nothing more fun than playing in a hole in the yard!

At library time, the kids got to search for "very treasure" as Landon called it!  When they got home, they had to show me just how to do it.
While the dads went fishing, the moms and kids got together to play.  Emmy did her best to take care of Kenna.

Picnic with Tyler, Greyson, Landon, Emmy, and Grace (Kenna was asleep).

All the kids loved playing in the sprinkler on this hot day!

My Mother's Day

Matt and the kids always do a great job treating me special on Mother's Day.  We started on Saturday evening by going to a "fancy" restaurant for supper.  Everybody got dressed up nice (Landon in his "hansum" shirt and Em in her "pridee drett") and we went to the Emporium in South Bend.  The kids were great and they loved that we got seated on the upper level so we could look down at the people below!

My one request each Mother's Day is that I don't have to cook or clean up for the whole day and my wonderful husband is great at taking care of all of that for the day.
I also got some great gifts from Matt and the kiddos.  They picked me out a new necklace, chocolate bar (there may have been some selfish motivation in that one :)), shorts, a tank top, and a bathrobe.  I think they had more fun opening the gifts than picking them out!

Matt's parents then joined us for supper (grilled pizza) and we gave Gma her handprint picture frame that says, "We love you THIS much."  My parents were in North Carolina for the weekend so we missed them.

God has blessed me greatly by giving me my wonderful family.  When we prayed for children, we never imagined it would turn out this way.  But I wouldn't want it any other way.  I couldn't ask for two more loving, sweet, kind kiddos!  Love you guys!!

Some Spring Pictures

Over the past few weeks, we've had some gorgeous weather so we've been able to take the kids outside to play.  They are LOVING their swingset and bikes.  Yesterday Em even volunteered to pull Mommy AND Daddy in the wagon to go to a "pardee".  They have such wonderful imaginations at this age.

Em loves her dress up clothes (especially the new ones that Gracie gave her!)  Yeah, I know the look on her face does not match the caption I wrote, but it's true! :)

She's getting pretty good with the pedals on her "big girl bike".  Thanks, Grace!

Landon still prefers to ride his bike Fred Flinstone style.  But he is working a little on using the pedals!

The kiddos went in the canoe with Daddy and Papa H.

We also got to meet Baby Clella Berger.  Emmy loved holding her and wouldn't leave her side.
