Stitch Fix Box #2

My original plan with Stitch Fix was to get one box a season to kind of freshen up my wardrobe.  You can get them sent every couple of weeks, but I didn't want to spend that much.  But...I had such a great experience with my first box, that I thought it would be fun to get a box before I went back to school.  I explained to my stylist that I was a teacher and I'd like some clothes for work and also something I could wear for a date night.  Here's what I got:
Bancroft Leighton Metal Bauble Necklace- $34
The necklace was ok for me.  It is heavier than I thought and I wouldn't have a problem keeping it if I needed to for the keep 5 get 25% off, but I decided not to because I didn't love it.
Verdict: Return

Papermoon Mesli Crochet Detail Blouse- $48
I do like this shirt.  It's light and thin and the detail around the neck is cute.  It also had some gold buttons on the back.  Unfortunately, I think it was too small in the arm holes.  It kept rubbing when I moved.
Verdict: Return

Margaret M Emer Printed Straight Leg Pant-$98
Well, as soon as I saw these, I thought, "Eww!"  I really disliked the pattern.  They are really a popular pant on the Stitch Fix blog and website and they were comfortable.  I just couldn't see myself wearing that print.  To get out of my comfort zone with pants, I'd choose a color other than brown, black, or grey.  These are just too 'out there' for me! :)
Verdict: Return

41Hawthorn Veria Cross Over Knit Top-$48
This top is super comfortable and I think would look good with a skirt or with jeans.  I'd probably need to wear a tank under it for school, but I really like it.
Verdict: Keep

Renee C Alondra Ruched Pencil Skirt-$58
Kristina guessed this was a tube top when I showed her, so probably not a great look for a skirt.  It was super tight and clingy.  Not something I'd feel comfortable wearing.  The fabric was nice, but it was just too tight.
Verdict: Return

skirt is navy blue (hard to tell in previous picture)
I do love that the fix comes with a style card and a personal note from your stylist:
Julie has been my stylist for both boxes and I love that she reads my comments and wishes and tries to find something to match.

So this fix was not nearly as successful for me as the previous one, but I still looked forward to trying on new and different types of clothing.  I did keep one shirt, so I didn't loose my styling fee.  I also had a referral, so that even made the shirt cheaper.  Looking forward to my next fix....hopefully I can wait until fall this time!!

  1. i really like the emers on you! but they are pricey even with the discount. i also like the shirt that you are wearing with the emers. too bad it was tight in the arms. how long do you think you'll be able to hold out until you reschedule? :)
