Landon has had a busy few weeks since he's been home. He's gotten to meet many new friends like Grace, Tyler, Greyson, Gunnar, and Gretchen (too bad Tyler's name doesn't start with a G! ). He's also gotten a diaper rash :( which is so sad because his little bottom is so red and he screams when we change his diaper. Alright moms out there, what clears up diaper rash? I've tried Desitin and he just screams louder when we put that on! Other than that we are doing well. Matt goes back to work next week so we're trying to get everything done that we need to by the end of this week. How many people does it take to give a newborn a bath? 4 :) The boys hanging out on the couch.

Thanks for posting pics. They are great. Love the update. When desitin won't work I try A and D. If that fails a warm bath and then some air out time without a diaper.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun update! Yes...Tyler is unique :):) Ha! We all just love Landon so keep the pictures coming! Just keep putting th cream and powder on :) Also, a nursing friend told me not to wipe his bottom all the time....unless it is more than pee :) If it is just wet, check to see if he needs more cream and apply that...but just put him in a dry diaper...and change him a lot to keep him as dry as possible :) Air out time is a good idea too, but can be a bit messy :)...especially for a boy :) Love ya!
ReplyDeleteHi Alicia!
ReplyDeleteI'm a friend of Jenn and Jess (and, apparently, a blog-stalker):)
I've just heard such high praise about you that I feel like I know you. (and had to come to your blog and find out how Landon has been!) :)
Anyway, I wanted to cast another vote for A and D ointment. I always hated desitin and A and D changed our lives!!!
your little boy is so cute! congratulations! i love the name landon! i always thought desitin worked really well! but i've also used the beautreux butt paste. (or however you spell it!) what kind of dog do you have? he/she is really cute!! and looks like it isn't too big!

Yeah for the swing! He looks so tiny in it. Maybe in a couple more months he'll fill it out. About the diaper rash...okay, I have no idea. Good thing you have mom friends.:) I love you and can't wait to see Landon again (and you guys). :)
ReplyDeletelove the pictures!! :) so fun. your mom always has updates for me at school. i can tell she LOVES being a grandma!
ReplyDeletegreyson enjoyed your card...he chewed it up...ha!
and we have used burts bees wax diaper ointment. i like that the best out of the two i've tried. i've never tried a and d though, and that sounds like it's a winner with the others. so give that a try. let me know how you like it! can't wait to see you on saturday...we've got good costumes! :) :) well, john does, i'm not sure how mine will turn out. ;)
Hi Alicia. I saw your dad the other day at the barber shop. He said Landon is doing really good. I hope that one of my brothers told him who I was because it's been awhile since he's probably seen me and I don't think he remembered me. I just wanted to say that A&D ointment works really good. It's also about the only diaper rash ointment that I've found that when you use it it doesn't leave your hands pasty white from applying it. We have half a jar left of it if you'd like to try it out. I could just take it to the post office and give it to your dad.
